The red line is the route that trucks actually use to get into the city to get to the industrial area and back. The white line is what I expected to be the most efficient route - It's shorter, it has faster roads and less turns on it. Here's an image with the routes they actually take and the route I designed to be the most efficient: ![]() I tried restricting the places that vehicles could go to some degree but the pathfinding never actually did what I expected it to do. ![]() This is how the city looks at the moment (you can see on the main roundabout that there's an underground bypass going directly to the industrial area and back, that's the only thing that has fixed the issue for me): I wanted to make a system where I had some major arterial 6-lane roads that were connected by roundabouts then have 4 and 2 lane roads coming off of them respectively to feed areas. So, it's been a while since I really put a lot of time into this game, but I decided recently to make a new city on one of my favourite maps. ![]()
